Wood isn’t just wood! 🪵 🌳
Ever wonder why some wooden utensils feel light and disposable while others feel like they could last forever?

Many everyday “wooden” kitchen items are made from bamboo or softer woods. They can be perfectly useful, but solid hardwood is denser, sturdier, and naturally more durable.
Our pieces are made from solid hardwoods like walnut, maple, and cherry, then shaped and sanded by hand. Every piece has its own grain, character, and little imperfections that make it uniquely yours.

Basically: not all wood is created equal — and we think the good stuff is worth keeping around. 😉

The finish going on is the satisfying part.

Then comes the important part… wiping all that excess hard wax oil right back off.

After it soaks in, you’ve gotta remove every bit of excess or you’ll end up with a sticky mess instead of a smooth finish.

Built this tabletop for a customer who wanted to add his own table legs, and Marc just sent me this photo of it all finished up. Turned out great!

Seeing something I built being used and enjoyed is the kind of stuff that keeps me motivated in the shop.

Thanks again, Marc! Really appreciate you trusting me with this one.

Saw a similar box a few days ago and decided to put my own spin on it. Quick, simple, and fun to build.
