This coop hasn't sat in the same spot for more than twenty-four hours, all year long. π
Most chicken labeled pasture-raised only has to go outside one time ever to legally earn that word. That's not against any rule β it's just how the standard is written. And most people never think to ask how often "outside" actually changes.
Ours doesn't work that way. Every single day, we move this coop to a brand new section of pasture. Rain or shine, it doesn't matter. Fresh grass, new bugs to peck at, ground that's never been stood on before.
And that's not some days. That's every single day, for every single bird in this flock. You can't do this across dozens of farms the way that two hands can manage one.
That's the real difference between a label that's technically true and a farm that's actually willing to show you the work.
