Last night we had a special dinner at Flemings in Walnut Creek remembering Carlos Alfonzo

We used to go here about every other month, many dinners, winemakers dinners, or meet up at the last minute over the last decade.

It was the last place we had dinner at together.

I hadn't been able to go back since, and I live about a mile from the restaurant.

Seeing the bottle of Austin Hope wine in my wine fridge always gave me a lump in my throat over the last 7 months. We fell in love with this wine at restaurants before he ended up joining the club in Paso Robles.

It was the last bottle of Austin Hope I had, that he gave to me.

Thank you Denise for taking me here last night. The firsts after Carlos have been so hard. I know we have to get through them though.
