We will be raffling off this sweet basket 🧺 stuffed with goodies from 🍯🐝 & 🌽🎃 , THIS WEEKEND at Sabillasville Mountain Festival ⛰️

All raffle ticket 🎟️ proceeds (as well as 1/3 of honey proceeds) will be donated to Sabillasville Environmental School. 🏫

As you may or may not know 💫 public charter schools receive significantly LESS funding than district schools, which makes this fundraiser especially important. Help us support this amazing school so our youth can thrive!

Coppermine Combs Apiary did pretty well at the Great Frederick Fair & Glade Valley Community Show this year!

Our honey 🍯 (exhibited by our children) earned 1st place 🥇 at both GFF & GVCS. We tried something new & entered in the “honey cookery” class, which requires honey 🍯 to account for 50% or more of the sweetener in the recipe - both our honey cake & honey cookies placed 1st 🥇 & let me assure you - they are delicious! 🤤

Also pictured: 1st 🥇 place beekeeping gadget (submitted by our eldest), hand-poured decorative beeswax melts, & gift baskets (which will be revamped & raffled off soon!).

Thanks to all who came out to support us this month! 💛🐝

Honey bees 🐝 are nothing short of incredible - these tiny creatures never cease to amaze us 💛

A breakthrough study from the Harry Perkins Institute in Australia has found that honeybee venom can destroy 100% of triple-negative and HER2-enriched breast cancer cells within an hour, without harming healthy cells. 💥

The secret weapon is melittin, a powerful peptide in bee venom that pokes holes in cancer cells and disrupts the signals they use to grow.

Triple-negative breast cancer is one of the most aggressive types, with limited treatment options. But this natural compound could open the door to new therapies. 🧪

Other studies also suggest that bee venom may reduce tumors and help prevent cancer from spreading. Early days, but promising news in the fight against breast cancer. 🎗️💛
