Sinclair Family Farm

Sinclair Family Farm raising naturally grown beef, goat, lamb and pork on our pastures in Placer County. Our customers love our eggs, rich in color and flavor.

We also offer chicken, turkey and rabbit. Available through our online order form www.sinclairfamilyfarm.net Our livestock and chickens are all raised on our pastures, in a natural setting. We have ponds and trees, and plenty of grazing area. We have guardian dogs that stay with the sheep to protect them from coyote and other predators.

Thank you to all of you that joined us at The Ranch for the Annual PlacerGROWN Farm & Barn Tour on Sunday. I hope you had a wonderful time visiting with the vendors, seeing the animals and taking a trip on the hay ride. I heard the fishing went pretty well too! Join us at our ranch in Newcastle for the Annual Farm & Barn Tour October 6 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm! We will have local vendors, animals, demonstrations, FFA and 4-H participation, western art and local artists, kids activities, hay rides, meat sales, food trucks. Please wear comfortable shoes, and please leave your dogs at home. We have working dogs and animals on site.

We try to take pictures of the new calves with their mom out in the pasture so that it is easier to ID them when they come into the corral for ear tags. We can look back and see who belongs to who and when they were born. Some ranchers will go out when the calves are first born to put a tag in the calf ear while the mom stands near by. I don't like to "poke the bear" so to speak.
