Our family time this past week was what dreams are made of, sooooo many blessings.

Well the garden is thriving, so now it’s time to get creative with the abundance ✨
Todays focus was African Blue Basil and this Pesto recipe that I found for dinner tonight is worth sharing;

2 cups of Blue Basil, leaves and flower
1/2 cup, raw, unsalted almonds
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup EVOO
2 cloves Garlic, smashed
2 teaspoons dried lavender buds (I had fresh growing next to my basil so used that)
1 tbsp fresh Lemon juice
Salt to taste
3/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

Pulse everything except the cheese in a food processor, once blended to your preferred texture, stir in grated Parm, I also added more EVOO when I added to the noods

Serve immediately, or store in an air tight container for up to a week, orrrrr freeze in to an ice cube tray for quick meals thereafter 🌿

Sugar Snap Peas are nutrient dense, which means they have a high vitamin and mineral content in relation to its weight.

These crunchy lil snacks are packed with;
Vitamin C, K & B9 (Folate)
High in Fiber & Protein
As well as Iron, Magnesium & Potassium

Great raw. Great sautéed. And really cute sliced in half like these I placed over hot rice, kind of steamed them but they kept most of their crunch 🍴

Make life your art.

I’ve always loved the word Exude, like, you have to be so saturated in your passions that you can’t help but drip them all over everything you embark on.

The Juiciest Fruit is an attempt to lead by example, here are fresh local ingredients that will make you feel good from the inside out. The example being; love your guts, love your farmers, love the people you’re feeding, love the presentation, love the season, love the blessings and chew them slowly in gratitude.

Such a beautifully abundant afternoon, and so thankful for the opportunities that continue to support my daydreams.

What a treat to be part of a lengthy love story, it’s its own Valentine - these two are celebrating over 43 years together today, blessed to get to spoil them while they visit ❤️

Okra season is upon us -

I discovered them fresh today and my mind was blown when I compared them to what I’ve been buying at the grocery store 🤯
So yes, this a plug/reminder to shop at your local farmers market as often as possible.
Foods you find there will be “seasonal” which means they may only grow for one month (naturally) and so what you purchase will be at it’s peak -
I’m comparing that to the okra I’ve been buying at convenience year round in a grocery store that looks and feels nothing like these beauties in their prime.
Also a plug for who’s produce is 🔥 - know and love your farmers 💚
