Willow wants you to know that Chris installed some new livestock gates, and she’s very excited about it, a total of five new gates! Three are for the girls/chickens paddocks and two are for the boys. Both have main entrance gates, plus gates that lead into their grazing and pasture areas. Our goal this year was to get these gates in and put up more fencing so the goats can do what they do best: clear our back acres! It feels good to check these projects off our list!

That time of year when everything on our plate is from our farm!

These girlies are getting so big! Close to 5 months old and we are starting to wean Foxy from the bottle. I can tell Uma is starting to wean Starry as well. Our milk production is going down, so I will be starting to make more soap + goat cheese with the stockpile of milk I have. My goal for these girls would be to get them into a show ring, I think it would be so fun!

Today our goal is to start burning a lot of the downed tree limbs we have on our back property! Last week we also took down a very tall dead tree, and it needs to get cleared so we can extend the boys' grazing area. Once we clear all the brush and limbs, we can start fencing more of the property so the goats can do what goats do best and start clearing! Which will also help cut down on our hay bill. 😅
