🐰🐐 And just like that, Fair 2026 came to an end! ❤️💙

What an incredible last week it was! I am so incredibly proud of my brother, my Small Stock Stars 4-H kids, the rest of the 4-H kids, and all of the FFA students!

This week was extra special for Lauren’s Little Leapers Rabbitry:

➡️ Our random Mini Lop we just happened to have took Reserve Champion in Open Class Quality! 🏆

➡️ Our Lauren’s Little Leapers market rabbits took Grand Champion Market Rabbit! 🥇 These rabbits were bred by my brother using his two REW does and my REW buck, making that win even more special for our family and rabbitry.

➡️ Our cute Polish that we entered in the fair also got to participate in Round Robin, where he was shown by the lovely Sadie Rose Davidson from my brother’s FFA team. ❤️

And my brother didn’t stop at rabbits! 🐐 He also took🎖️Reserve Grand Champion Market Goat in Quality and 4th in Goat Showmanship! His goat even had the opportunity to participate in Round Robin, where he was shown by the lovely Dani Davidson from my brother’s FFA team also.❤️

But honestly, the ribbons are only a small part of what makes this week so special.

I have been watching some of these kids show since they were little, and getting to watch them grow—not only as exhibitors, but in their work ethic, confidence, and independence—has been amazing.

Being able to help each kid along the way, watch them overcome challenges, and see them become the older kids and teens they are today is something I truly love and enjoy. ❤️

I couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them. Here’s to all the hard work, memories, friendships, and accomplishments of Fair 2026! 🐰🐐❤️💙

I’ve used Dunn’s Critter Transport before and had a great experience. While I haven’t personally used KD Farms Transport yet, I’ve heard great reviews from friends who have.

We welcomed two new litters last week!

🤍 Mini Rex – Our Tri doe, Trinity, gave us 7 beautiful kits! We’re especially excited about this litter because it’s the first litter sired by Favor, our new brindle buck we brought in from California in May.

We’re also thankful that our Champagne doe, Beaca, took and gave us 3 healthy kits! We weren’t even sure she had taken, so it was a wonderful surprise.

Mini Rex Available – Until August 2nd!

I have two Mini Rex looking for new homes! They will only be available until August 2nd. After that, they will be heading to my freezer, so if you’ve been thinking about adding one to your rabbitry, now is the time to reach out.

🚗 Transport available: They can ride to the Moscow, Idaho Rabbit Show on August 1st.

These two would make a great starter for someone interested in working with Harlequin/Tri genetics. While they don’t fit where my breeding program is headed, they have nice potential for someone looking to build or start with a tri program.

Both rabbits are from the same litter and are not fully pedigreed on the dam’s side.

🐰 Rabbitry Update! 🐰

We’ve been super busy around here, and I’ve gotten way behind on posting! There are so many updates to share, I don’t even know where to start. 😅

Yesterday was a big processing day, and we got around 15 rabbits off the feed bill! 🎉 That means the freezer is getting stocked with healthy, home-raised meat, and we now have plenty of empty cages ready for the next group we’ll be weaning this weekend.

I only kept a few of the hides to freeze this time since I wasn’t a huge fan of how some of the others. But I had to snap a picture because it’s crazy to see the size difference! 🤯

It’s always neat seeing the differences between the breeds side by side. Every processing day helps fill the freezer, opens up cage space for the next generation, and reminds us why we love raising these amazing rabbits. ❤️
