these breeds. We can ship hatching eggs and can do local pick up for those interested in chicks. Each Spring, we normally offer a selection of native plants and some vegetable plants. Reach out to us about our offerings. If there is something you are looking for, let us know and we will try to grow extra. A small selection of hand spun yarn is frequently available as well. Most of the skiens are spun from heritage breed sheep. Reach out if you are interested.

Our tom is feeling this warm weather! He is strutting for everyone. I have a feeling we will see some new poults and chicks real soon.

It's a beautiful day to put some quilt pieces together. One of my favorite things about this old treadle is how quiet it is! I'm sewing in the room right next to the baby and she has been napping undisturbed for 2 1/2 hours!

What's your early spring project?

Near the end of 2025 we welcomed some new members of the farm crew with a few gorgeous Oberhasli goats from Koch-Kidz Farm - Moon Willow Farm. 🐐🐐🐐We are smitten with them and our first batch of kids arrived in January!

Now we get to start our journey into dairy! Dairy goats have been on our wish list for a while now and we are so excited for all the new opportunities they will bring.

Next is to figure out what to do with all this milk 😁🧈🍦🍮🥛🧀

A few of our critters made a brief appearance in the snow before heading back into the coop.

We haven't been out with a ruler, but we got around a foot of snow.

We hope you enjoy a few of our snow day pictures!

So far the birds have refused to set foot in the snow and there is a baby goat in the bathroom, but we are having a great time in this record setting South Louisiana blizzard.

Our live oaks are even more majestic in their white cloaks!
