Before the flowers come… there’s a whole lot of sweaty, dirty work. 😅🌱

Lately we’ve been busy prepping beds, hooking up irrigation, tearing out last year’s plants, rebuilding our caterpillar tunnel, planting summer annuals, and planning out more perennial rows.

Not exactly the glamorous side of flower farming - but this is the stuff that makes the summer flowers happen. One step closer to buckets of blooms. 🌸

The fields are slowly starting to come alive around here and we’re excited for what’s coming next.

Bouquet of the Month Club pickup day 🌷

Our first pickup is today from 4-6pm at the farmstand! This month’s bouquets are filled with fresh locally grown tulips, plus a little extra fragrant stock and eucalyptus - because spring bouquets should smell just as good as they look. ✨

This is the first of five pickups for our subscribers, who’ll get to enjoy what’s blooming in real time throughout our growing season here in Minnesota. From tulips to summer favorites to fall flowers - each month will look a little different, and that’s the fun of it. 💐

Also new at the farmstand: our own 100% pure essential oil room spray - Garden Air. Floral, bright, fresh, and grounding… basically the feeling of walking through the garden bottled up. 🌿

Our farmstand won’t be open this weekend - but it’s for a very good reason 🌱✨

We’re busy getting ready for the start of our Bouquet of the Month Club subscriptions, planting out almost 1000 lisianthus plugs, and prepping the field for another beautiful flower season ahead. Between laying landscape fabric, getting beds ready, and dreaming about these blooms again, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes right now.

These photos are a little glimpse into the work happening… and a reminder of what’s to come later this summer 💐 Last year’s lisianthus were some of our absolute favorites, and we can’t wait to see the field full again soon.

Seriously, thank you for supporting our little flower farm this spring. Every bouquet picked up, kind message sent, and photo shared means so much. Tulip season is short, busy, and beautiful - and we’re so grateful you chose to be part of it with us.

Hi friends - to all of our new followers, we wanted to introduce ourselves 💐

We’re Holly + Matt, the faces behind Xenia Farm Co. We’re a small-scale flower farm located in Saint Michael.

We purchased our farm in 2020, and that fall we planted our very first crops: tulips, daffodils, and garlic. What started with just 110 tulip bulbs has grown into 5,700 tulip bulbs this season 🤯🌷

The name Xenia (pronounced “zee-nee-uh”) comes from the timeless Greek principle of hospitality - welcoming others with warmth, generosity, and genuine care. That heart for hospitality is deeply rooted in why we started this farm and what we hope people feel when they visit our stand, receive a bouquet, or follow along here online.

We’re first-generation farmers with a passion for growing beautiful things and sharing them with our community. Behind the blooms are early mornings, late nights, muddy boots, tired hands, two little kids often along for the ride - and so much gratitude that we get to do this together.

And we couldn’t do it without Holly’s sister, Käri - our farmhand, creative partner, and hype girl ✨ She brings her talents in design and marketing (plus lots of helping hands) to help XFco flourish.

We’re wrapping up our tulip season with the final week of our tulip subscriptions, and next Monday we kick off our Bouquet of the Month Club ✨

Right now we’re busy getting the field ready for summer annuals, checking on the perennials, farm maintenance, and dreaming about all that’s to come this season.

Thank you for being here, supporting local flowers, and following along on this journey with us. We truly can’t wait to share another season of blooms with you 💛

You guys… WOW! 💐

What a day. This was hands down our biggest flower day yet, and we are SO incredibly grateful for your support. You showed up today and completely sold us out of every single stem 🥹❤️

Behind every bouquet was a whole lot of hustle - early mornings, late nights, muddy boots, tired kids tagging along, bunching flowers after bedtime, and many “can we actually pull this off?” moments 😅

And getting to see you all show up for our little farm today made every bit of it worth it.

Truly - thank you.

Whether these blooms were for yourself, your wife, your mom, your grandma, or a friend… we hope they made someone feel deeply loved this Mother’s Day 💐

We couldn’t do this without this amazing community, and we never take your support for granted. Getting to grow and share local flowers with you brings us so much joy 🌷
