It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of Olive & Toast. These last six months have been an incredible journey—one filled with challenges, growth, and immense gratitude.
I am deeply thankful for every single person who supported me along the way. Your encouragement, kind words, and patronage helped me thrive, and I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. Owning this business has been a privilege, and I’ll always treasure the lessons and connections it brought into my life.
The reasons for this decision are many. Along the way, I realized that while I was good at what I did, it wasn’t my true passion. I also faced significant hurdles, like finding accessible and compliant kitchen spaces—a challenge I believe could be alleviated with greater support from local governments.
Additionally, I’ve wrestled with navigating preconceived notions about me and my business - because of my personal life. These perceptions unfortunately impacted the level of support I received from some in the community, but they’ve also reinforced the value of staying true to myself.
Although this chapter is closing, I look forward to what comes next. This is not the end of my story, but a step toward discovering where my true passions lie. Thank you for being part of this journey—it meant the world to me. If you see us in town, please say hello 💚
