Unwashed (Farm Fresh): Unwashed eggs retain a natural protective coating called the "bloom" that keeps bacteria out and moisture in. They can be stored on the counter for 2–3 weeks, or 3–6 months in the refrigerator.

Washed (Farm Fresh/Store Bought): Washing removes the bloom. Washed eggs must be refrigerated and generally last about 2 months.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨😊❗️❗️❗️❗️📣📣📣📣📣Hello everyone, we have an update to share with you, consisting of both positive and negative news. Let's begin with the positive developments. We've rearranged their nesting area, which has led to an increase in egg production and quality. Lucky Girl has settled into her new home alone in the coop and is thriving with the others ,having laid four eggs already. Also our hens have shown a preference for papaya over spaghetti squash ,unless it’s cut open .🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨Now, regarding the less favorable news, are you prepared? MooMoo is going into brood mode for the fourth time, requiring us to place her in a confined cage with food and water to encourage mingling. Unfortunately, we've lost two chickens, found deceased in the coop without prior signs of illness or injury. We're unsure of the cause, but we'll continue to monitor the situation. RIP to our beloved hens 😢.
