In 2018 I got pictures of this 3yo with a great frame (8pt) I saw him one day of the season and really hoped he would take off. In 2019 the same buck showed up at the same blind, this time a crab claw 10 that I passed because of his frame. In 2020 he blew up with double split g2 paddles, a client missed him, he was seen at a feeder about a mile away two days later. 2021 summer there was a dead buck with no wounds of any sort with heavy mass and a similar frame. I thought he had died from a harsh post rut and hard summer. Two days ago he showed up at the same blind he was always at. Our client/guide was able to make a successful stalk on him but he turned quartering away as the shot was fired. The buck was bumped and the phone call to Justin Dixon went out. He arrived 30minutes later with his dogs and was able to bay and dispatch the buck for our client. Nerves/stress/anxiety/patience/a dash of luck with the north wind and a good dog ended the chapter on this incredible low fence buck.
