As much as we would like to blame the drought and give him another year, we decided to go ahead and take this buck. We thought he was a younger deer so we were going to let him go another year. We have hundreds of pictures of him basically living on this protein pen over the summer, and this was all he grew. When he finally started coming to the corn the last few weeks and we laid eyes on him we realized the he was older than we thought. We took him last weekend and sure enough aged him as a 5 year old. Great management deer for this young man, and he made a great shot!
