Got my 2 Top It Off gilts loaded. Boars for this group are Top That and Above and Beyond. Man they got big. Only feed 4 lbs/day in controlled lanes so something tells me we got a couple of bellies loaded with piglets. Due to farrow this Saturday/Sunday. Say a prayer……

Seen glimpses of this bird late spring but I was not able to sneak up on him/her (probably her cuz not bright blue). Been a little bit since I’ve seen him. That wingspan is at least 5-6 feet (look at top of one tree branch). I wonder if there is a nest nearby or it is too late in season.

Getting excited about this year’s breeding. Guess the judges are sticking to deep center body, massive rib shape, back with hips and rump to finish the deal. Talking to Jake he told me the tighter I get to Family Jewels the better they get. So…..March breeding (Jul litter) is Over the Top boar sired by Top Shelf that is making a run in majors. Ride the Lightning….this guy mimics the sow I’m putting him on in so many ways. This will be a May breeding (Sep litter). These litters should naturally grow with these characteristics and not require supplements galore to push chest, center body, rib expression and remain functional on all 4 feet.
