At Nourished Foods we believe that everyone should enjoy homemade real food. Most of our ingredients are organic as well. Alot of our products can be made gluten free or vegetarian upon request. I believe that even if a piece of pumpkin pie is 300 calories that it should at least still provide your body with real food (not void of the vitamins and nutrients it once possessed). We began this ventur
e when I listened to so many moms tell me they would love to provide food like that for their family, but busy schedules and work just left them exhausted. Not only that, but not everyone enjoys spending so much time cooking! I understood. The time I put into feeding my family goest above the norm, but I desperately want others to have the opportunity to feed their families well. So the birth of Nourished Foods has begun. We are a tiny little baby right now, selling mostly to friends and family. We hope to be seen at Farmer's Markets by spring 2012. Our foods mostly cater to those with little time or those who simply don't like to cook. Typically, meals are made in individual portions so when you are caught in that "dying of hunger" moment, you can reach for a bowl of organic pumpkin ginger soup, thaw in five minutes and enjoy with a piece of buttered toast. I know the feeling of being too tired to eat healthy and at the same time trying to resist the temptation to grab something that only leaves me guilty and empty.That's the main reason I started making food like this for myself and I can't wait to share it with you. We mostly make quick healthy options, but we are also taking traditional recipes and turning them into nourished whole foods. So you can feel good about that apple or pecan pie at Christmas.
