Sometimes I wonder if we overthink things…
Supplements, vitamins, workout schedules, sleep schedules. I’m certainly guilty. I have a husband that endured the most severe kind of injury in the last year. For months, I was fixated on every little thing that I thought might cure him. And then one day he looked at me and told me to stop. He asked that we just start living.
So I started really watching. And I noticed something. Love cures. Movement cures. Laughs cure. And not just severe spinal cord injuries. Living simply, slowing down, eating well, savoring wine… that’s what nourishes all of us the most.
Today I’m reminded a three day weekend is for rest. It’s for remembering the important things in life. For honoring those that have served us and allow us to continue living and enjoying life’s beauty. Happy Memorial Day, friends🍷.
