Cork & Knife’s Women in Wine series celebrates Anna Monticelli — a Napa Valley winemaker whose artistry bridges California and Italy, crafting wines that embody the spirit of In Vino Felicitas — “In wine, there is happiness.”

From her early days in Napa to working harvest at Château Cheval‑Blanc in Bordeaux, Anna’s journey has been defined by curiosity, craftsmanship, and connection to the land. Alongside her husband, winemaker Mario Monticelli, she creates expressive, terroir‑driven wines that celebrate both New World vibrancy and Old World elegance.

That connection to heritage shines through in M.A. Monticelli Barolo, crafted in collaboration with the historic Franco Conterno family of Barolo. Organically farmed in the famed Bussia vineyards of Monforte d’Alba, this wine honors the Monticelli family’s Italian roots — a bridge between past and future, tradition and innovation. Elegant, balanced, and deeply expressive, it’s a true reflection of family, place, and passion.
