Let the venue do the work.
Whenever possible, let the space guide your design. At our last gathering in San Francisco, we were hosted by XH Mastermind member Stephanie Blake at one of her newest real estate projects in San Francisco: Jack’s Restaurant.
Jack’s is an iconic, historic restaurant where San Francisco’s future was imagined over seafood and ice-cold martinis. After the 1906 earthquake, mayors and planners gathered upstairs to sketch the city’s reconstruction. The decision to bid for the 1915 World’s Fair was sealed here, and early conversations about the Golden Gate Bridge unfolded before they reached City Hall. Hitchcock dined here while filming Vertigo and The Birds; Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera traded sketches for dinner. Deals were signed on cocktail napkins. This wasn’t just a backdrop for gathering — it was a room where people helped shape what came next.
So we leaned in to this history, and designed a dinner experience called “The New Frontier”. We curated tables of six and seeded thought-provoking conversation about the new frontier: the future of how we connect in a world being reshaped by AI.
