Did you know agave takes 5-7 years to grow before itā€™s ready to be harvested?

From here the agave farmers remove the leaves from the piƱa - or the heart of the agave - which is covered with hundreds of leaves that must be removed prior to cooking. And these agave plants can weigh up to 300 lbs [140 kg] when ripe!

The piƱa is then cooked in an oven so it can then be shredded and ready for the extraction process.

During this process the agave juice or aguamiel is extracted from the crushed piƱa and then fermented for days before being distilled & ready to be bottled & added to the shelves!

We are Real Del Valle Tequila, made with 100% Agave and nothing else, so you know youā€™re always getting the good stuff! I mean itā€™s even in our name šŸ’¦
