Well...I am going to try out the new Smart chicken feeders. I wish they were larger, and used solar power. I contacted Omlet, and they don't have any plans to do either in the near future, so I will be purchasing the ones they currently have. I hope they work better than the other feeders I have tried in the past. I think I will only get 2 because I really need a larger size for my other breeding coops.

I also found a company that makes battery replacement solar systems, that I am going to hook up to these. Because I really can't see us changing out 4 batteries every 6 months for feeders. Especially when I need so many of them. Just wanted to add that I found this company extremely helpful. They sent me a detailed list almost immediately of everything I would need to buy to replace the batteries with a solar system. Including a diagram of exactly how to connect my system. Part of our supersweet bantam photoshoot. This includes a lot of our different bantams. 8 different colors of silkies, 3 polish, frizzle, mottled and calico cochins, a white sultan, gold neck duccles...and we put even more out in the full video.

Some individual pictures from our supersweet bantam photoshoot.

In these photos you can see the polish and silkies...and now we are adding a frizzle white cochin to the party! She is a bit dirty on her feet feathers because it is really hot here, so she has been standing in cool dirt. The frizzle and smooth cochins are super soft and really fun to pet. I think their feathers may be softer than even the silkies.

Some individual pictures from our supersweet bantam photoshoot. We love our adorable silkies, and have 8 colors this year. More next year as we are hopefully successfully breeding 3 new colors for you.

In these photos you can see the polish that we put in first, then the white, buff, red, blue, black, splash, grey and partridge silkies at various ages. The older they are, the more pronounced their crest.

We DNA s*x our silkies at 3 weeks of age so we can guarantee that they are female. They are one of our most popular bird and we typically ship / sell over 3000 per year.

Some individual pictures from our supersweet bantam photoshoot. Here we are putting the first few chickies in the set. Disco Ball, Full length mirror. Framed picture of their rooster idol. Plus lots of pink and soft furry items.

In these photos you can see the white crested black polish, the white crested blue polish and the silver laced polish. Both are so gorgeous and lay medium sized white eggs. They are quirky and fun to have run around the yard.

Some of our super sweet black and blue female silkies that are out in the younger standard coop. We purposefully do that so when people want to combine standards and silkies, they can easily do it since they have already been sharing the same coop and run space.
