The US is losing up to 40% of its food from farm, to fork, to landfill. Yet, nearly 5 million Californians do not have consistent access to enough food. In CA, 1 in 8 are experiencing hunger and 1 in 5 of those are children.
Each month we Rescue 40,000 to 50,000 pound's of food.

How cute is this card? Our staff received this card from children who participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) at North County Lifeline.
CACFP is a federal nutrition program that contributes to the wellness, healthy growth and development of children and youth by providing healthy meals and snacks. FSD sponsors CACFP at after school sites throughout the year.
