Alcohol-free social life in San Diego is about to EXPLODE. 💥

We run two non-alcoholic bottle shops in Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach, and we see what's happening every single day. You've heard the stats. More than half of people are drinking less. But here's the thing nobody talks about… it's not just because alcohol is bad for you. There's a whole life on the other side of not drinking!

Sitting at a bar is fun. We've all been there. But what about a cold plunge? What about happy hours that are actually happier because you remember them (and skip the bad choices)? 😅

When you decide to stop drinking, some people cheer you on. Some think you're judging them. Some just stop calling.

And the wild part? It happens to almost everybody who makes the switch.

Here's the truth though. Choosing not to drink was never about feeling better than anyone. It was about family, about becoming a different version of yourself, about showing up for the people who needed you. We actually respect the folks who can have one glass of w**e and forget about it for a month. That's just not everyone's story.

If you're the sober one in your friend group right now, it's a weird road, we know. But you're still gonna have friends. You're still gonna have support. And you still deserve a seat at the barbecue with something great in your hand. 🍻

If you told me four years ago that I'd be sober, I would've laughed and handed you a b**r

Four years. That's it. Not a lifetime ago, not some younger, wilder version of me. Just a guy with a wife and kids who thought he was having the time of his life.

That guy was the life of the party. The one who thought sober people were weird. The one who did a keg stand at grandma's house (and yes, she spotted me). The one who didn't remember half his weekends.

What he didn't see was everything happening around him. My wife driving herself home from a birthday party because I was too far gone. My kids watching TV on Saturday mornings because dad needed to sleep off Friday night. I thought I was having fun. I was really just missing it.

Four years later, I'm the one planning her birthday. I'm the one driving her home. Saturday mornings are pancakes with my kids, fully present, actually remembering it. And I run two bottle shops that didn't even exist back then, built for people who want to drink differently.

It's crazy how much can change in four years when you make one decision. I used to scroll past posts like this and think "that'll never be me." And here I am.
