We can't wait until these Pineapple Heirloom Tomatoes are ready to eat! So far they are perfect! Many of them come out pretty deformed but these two are gorgeous!

His and Hers stuffed poblanos.

Inside is spicy sausage with 3 cheeses. On the side is a lovely veg blend and his plate has a bit of home made (and grown) tomato and chile salsa. All this on top of some Molé Negro. It was a lot to eat but we managed.

Last night Matthew pulled this crab out of the freezer that he secured in order to have with his first SeaHawks game. We bought the live crab in maybe February, can't recall. It's cooked and then frozen in it's entirety in a seal-a-meal situation. He said it was delicious. This is his favorite way to eat it--just pick and suck it out of the shells with some dips in melted butter.

BLT is the best sandwich! Add some nice turkey, home grown tomato and some fantastic lettuce from the Farmer's Market. Don't forget a nice slather of Duke's Mayo and some rye and we're all set. Just one sandwich is really not enough.

Our small yard is home to a good sized garden. This year our sunflowers grew SO tall. They are taller than our cherry tree. Most of the garden is getting gangly and feeding pests but it still provides home and food to frogs, bees and lots of birds. It also provides hours of entertainment to the two of us. We have eaten lots of lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes and cucumbers plus a decent amount of herbs like parsley, chives, rosemary, thyme and oregano which last us year round.

Years ago we stayed at The Onion House on the Big Island. It had the most interesting kitchen we've ever used. The entire house is a big piece of art. This here is just a couple shots of the kitchen area. Down side of that kind of rock structure is lots of places for creepy things to live in. But otherwise, we were constantly finding interesting things. In the second picture you can see the outside counter and sink which was great for taking care of messy things. Since we typically mostly cook our own food when we stay there we made good use of this space.

One of our favorite vegetable sides starts with corn cut off the cob and then whatever else we've got hanging around and cook that all up in some ghee. Maybe we'll through in some herbs. We've got those.

Little purchase of a couple spicy peppers for an upcoming big pot of Chile Verde with Pork. He knows Miss Kelly isn't very fond of that dish so he makes it super spicy for his own enjoyment. Can't beat the locally grown peppers from your favorite farmer.
