The Dream Is Bigger Than Mezcal!

When Ruben and I started this journey with MOQUA, we knew we wanted to build something special.

But along the way, it became about something bigger…

Going to the farm in Guerrero put a lot of things in perspective for me!

Culture and Community deserve to be celebrated, respected, and protected. It’s about the people, the families, the traditions, and the opportunity to make a difference.

Of course, we want MOQUA to succeed! But what makes this journey meaningful is knowing that our success can help create opportunities for others too.

We’re still at the beginning, and there’s a long road ahead of us.

But that’s what makes the journey exciting! LET’S GOOO!! 🔥

Martial Arts has been part of my life for over four decades 🥊

I’ve gone through just about every stage of that journey: Student, Competitor, Teacher, Gym Owner, and eventually Fight Promoter.

And through every stage, the things that stuck with me weren’t just the fighting.

Discipline. Respect. Honor. Integrity. Family. Support. Camaraderie.

Coming from a broken family, those things meant a LOT to me. Martial Arts gave me a Community, and along the way there were people who believed in me and gave me opportunities.

Becoming a fight promoter eventually gave me the chance to turn around and give some of that back to the Martial Arts community and create opportunities for other fighters.

And now, even as I build MOQUA, I don’t want to leave that part of my life behind. 🌵🥃🥊☺️

We recently sponsored a fight team that represents those same values, and you’re going to see MOQUA and Martial Arts working hand-in-hand a lot more moving forward.

Different chapter. Same values.

Never forget where you came from… and when you get the opportunity, reach back and help somebody else up! 👊🏽
