I couldn’t be more proud of our Culinary Team at The Watermark of San Jose.
We just completed our 5 hour kitchen inspection and received an incredible score of 98.3%.
For those who have never worked in a commercial kitchen, that number may not seem like a big deal. In reality, achieving a score like this is extremely difficult. Health inspections evaluate hundreds of details related to food safety, sanitation, storage, temperatures, cleaning procedures, employee practices, documentation, and overall kitchen operations. Every day, every shift, and every team member plays a role in maintaining these standards.
What makes me even prouder is that the few points we lost were for items that were beyond our control. That means the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our team truly shined.
A special thank you to our Executive Chef, Cindy, whose leadership, passion, and tireless work ethic help set the standard every single day. Great inspections don’t happen because a team cleans up for one day. They happen because a culture of excellence is built and maintained day after day, week after week, and month after month.
To our cooks, servers, dishwashers, utility staff, supervisors, and everyone who rolled up their sleeves and went the extra mile—thank you. Your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but today it deserves to be celebrated.
I am honored to work alongside such an amazing group of people. Most importantly, this score reflects our commitment to providing a safe, clean, and exceptional dining experience for the residents we are privileged to serve.
Congratulations, Team. You earned this, and I am incredibly proud of every one of you.
