有朋自遠方來✈️ 不亦樂乎 ❤️ 今天送完月子餐，馬上又要趕去市場買菜，回家準備晚餐 👩🏻‍🍳

今晚的菜單：

🦀 泰式咖哩炒辣蟹（我本人很喜歡曼谷唐人街那種加入大量滑蛋和香葉一起炒的咖哩做法）
🐚 豉椒炒蜆
🦐 蒜蓉開邊蒸蝦（雖然擺盤有點失手，但味道有補救回來😂）
🌿 泰式打拋豬（無辣版，準備給小朋友吃）
🍲 下重本的花膠猴頭菇烏骨雞湯
🍲 小朋友另外還有紫菜豆腐湯

難得有親人從香港過來探望，當然要好好準備一桌豐盛的晚餐招待 ❤️

There’s nothing better than having family visit from afar ❤️

Tonight’s menu:

🦀 Bangkok-style spicy curry crab with lots of soft scrambled egg and fragrant Thai basil, just the way I like it 🌿
🐚 Stir-fried clams with black bean sauce and peppers
🦐 Steamed butterflied shrimp with garlic (the presentation didn’t quite go as planned, but at least it tasted good 😂)
🌿 Thai basil pork (a non-spicy version for the kids)
🍲 Silkie chicken soup with lion’s mane mushrooms and A LOT of fish maw🤭🤭I definitely splurged on this one!
🍲 Seaweed and tofu soup for the kids

My cousin came all the way from Hong Kong to visit, so of course I had to make a big feast to welcome him ❤️

💬 最近有客人問我：「坐月子到底可不可以吃辣？」

其實產後前一、兩週，我還是會建議盡量避免辛辣刺激的食物。

不過到了中後期，只要身體恢復狀況良好，我覺得沒有一定要完全禁止。月子餐的重點是依照不同階段調整飲食，而不是什麼都不能吃。

今天剛好是這位客人月子餐的最後一天，她特別指定想吃「大辣」🥵🌶️，所以我就幫她做了一份泰式打拋豬！

我一直覺得，除了營養之外，媽媽的心情也很重要。能吃到自己想吃的東西、吃得開心，也是坐月子的一部分❤️🥰。

💬“Can I eat spicy food during postpartum recovery?”

For the first week or two after delivery, I usually recommend avoiding spicy and irritating foods.

However, once you’re in the middle or later stages of recovery and feeling well, I don’t think there’s a need to completely avoid them. Postpartum meals are about adjusting nutrition according to each stage of recovery, not about avoiding everything you enjoy.

Today was the last day of this client’s postpartum meal plan, and she specifically requested something extra spicy 🥵🌶️, so I made her a Thai Basil Pork (Pad Krapow)!

I’ve always believed that besides nutrition, a mother’s happiness matters too. Being able to enjoy the foods you love and eat with satisfaction is also an important part of the postpartum journey ❤️🥰

💬 One question I get asked often is: “What’s the difference between postpartum meals and regular home-cooked dinners?”

👉🏻This spread is actually a mix of regular dinner orders and postpartum meals 🧡

It shows that postpartum food isn’t that different from our everyday home-style meals, the key is simply adjusting ingredients and balance based on each stage of recovery.
By the mid to later stages, meals can look just like what we normally eat at home.

The same goes for soups, they’re not just for postpartum, enjoying nourishing soups once in a while can benefit your skin and overall wellness too.🧏🏻‍♀️✨

💬 常常有客人問我：「月子餐跟一般晚餐有什麼不同？」

答案👉🏻這一桌其實是平日晚餐和月子餐混在一起的組合 🤎

也可以看出月子餐和日常家常菜其實沒有太大差別，重點只是依照不同階段去調整食材與搭配。
到了中後期，其實就可以和我們平常吃的菜幾乎一樣。

湯水也是一樣，不只是坐月子才可以喝，平常偶爾喝一些滋補的湯，對皮膚和身體也都很好。🧏🏻‍♀️✨

Did you notice the rainbow colors in today’s meals? 🌈

Lately, I’ve been busy preparing recovery meals for two clients who are in their healing phase. During this time, instead of heavy tonics, it’s more important to focus on gentle, easy-to-digest nourishment so the body can recover gradually.

Different colored vegetables provide different nutrients, so the more variety you get, the more balanced your nutrition will be.

最近忙着為兩位正處於身體恢復期的客人準備 Recovery Meal。這段時間，比起大補，更重要的是溫和、好吸收，讓身體可以慢慢回來. 不同顏色的蔬菜，其實都代表不同的營養，搭配得越多元，身體吸收到的養分就越全面，慢慢把身體養回來💪🏻
