EarlyBird takeover at Meat & Essentials continues through the weekend, with DAS GÜD COFFEE serving up the best ☕️!

Mixing things up with different breakfast and lunch sammies including a brand new special - Philly Cheese!

Spinning the egg loaf towards a Japanese-inspired direction! Steamed dashi tamago like a chawanmushi with a refreshing pickled ginger slaw.

Look at how cute these sandos are. They look simple but these are not your gas station cold sandwiches.

Bringing back the Vietnamese egg loaf (inspired by CHẢ TRỨNG HẤP)! A fluffy steamed egg with M&E egg roll filling (ground pork, woodear mushroom, bean thread noodle, carrot) sandwiched with sambal mayo, pickled mustard greens and a crunchy herb salad.

It’s been a while! here’s another what’s Dante making when he’s not baking Part 4 or 5 or whatever!

🐖 hong shao rou (Chinese “red” braised pork belly)
🎃 steamed gailan and pumpkin with homemade chili crisp
🍔 hambāgu (Japanese hamburger steak) over shredded cabbage
🍜 żaru soba (cold soba) with various dashi and crispy chicken skin
🥞 pancakes and blueberries
🥬 fresh batch of pickled mustard greens (does not last long, Lucy eats these like it’s snack)
🫘 chili with beans because it’s doesn’t count otherwise
🐓 Hainan chicken rice

First time making both of last weekend’s sandwiches and we are pretty darn proud.

Dashi Tamago had a gently cooked egg loaf that was reminiscent of a chawanmushi, served with a refreshing pickled ginger slaw.

🍔 🍋‍🟩 🧅 🌶️ 🍟 🧀
Lunch was a doozy. 😵‍💫 The Lomo (Saltado) Burger. Salsa criolla made with lime pickled red onions (heavy on the lime), aji pepper (Peruvian pepper) sauce, shoestring fries (fried to order!), gruyere and cheddar cheeses.

Thanks to .and.essentials for being mad scientist with in the kitchen!
