Today we had to say goodbye to our sweet Honey Girl, and this one hit real hard. 💔🍯
She wasn’t just a chicken to us. She was one of our favorite girls and such a special part of our little farm. She followed us around like a puppy, would skip her meals just to get extra loves and snuggles, and somehow always made us stop what we were doing to give her attention. She was the best girl. 🫶🏽
I don’t think we were prepared for how much this would hurt. We feel so guilty that we couldn’t be there with her as she crossed the bridge, and that’s something that will always weigh heavy on our hearts. But we know she was in the best hands, and we are so incredibly thankful she was loved and cared for when we couldn’t be there.
And if you think of us today, please say a little prayer for my 4-year-old’s broken heart. 💔 Honey Girl was her girl, and watching her try to understand that her sweet chicken isn’t coming home has absolutely broken me.
Honey Girl was so, so loved. Thank you for being such a sweet girl and for giving us so many little moments we’ll never forget. You are un replaceable!
Fly high, sweet Honey Girl.. You will be missed more than you’ll ever know. 🤍🐔🍯👯♀️
