Known for his groundbreaking storytelling and contributions to Black cinema, Cooper’s work captured the complexities of urban life and left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. His screenplay for New Jack City (1991) became a cultural phenomenon, introducing audiences to the unforgettable Nino Brown and reshaping the crime-drama genre.

Join us, along with and for Say Grace and the Giving Tree Initiative. We will be helping to distribute winter items and a warm meal to those in need at Moore Square Plaza in Raleigh this Thanksgiving.

If you’d like to join us in helping others this holiday, please consider donating new winter items (hats, scarves, coats, gloves) or donate to purchase food. Our winter item collection box will be set up at from today until Wednesday! Please stop by - any contribution is appreciated as we look to give to others this season!
