Meet ๐‰๐ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ ๐†๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ, Co-Founder of As Above, So Below Distillery.

Jeffโ€™s careers of music and craft beverage have been intertw**ed since 1998. Jeff began in beverage at Great Divide Brewery in 1998, working in the cellar and on the packaging line โ€“ when not traveling with his other career as a Sony touring and recording artist.

After a decade of playing some of the most unique venues in the US, touring with a variety of artists and collecting stories, Jeff returned to craft b**r full-time in 2010 to take the helm of the barrel-aged b**r program at Breckenridge Brewery.

Not long after, Jeff found his passion for being in-market, talking with bartenders, restaurateurs, and enthusiasts about craft b**r and spirits. From there, he launched a consulting firm aimed at helping small producers develop successful sales strategies and supporting craft beverage businesses in sales and sales planning. Jeff believes that the opportunity to build true, authentic relationships are the best part of working in this industry.

You will often find Jeff around town, spreading the word about As Above So Below to stores, bars, and restaurants and at events throughout the region. When not out telling the story of Altar, Jeff loves to collaborate with other musicians to create unique compositions or to explore New Mexico, learning about railroad history.

Caley began her career in craft spirits in 2009 with Stranahanโ€™s Colorado Wh***ey. As she worked her way up, she immersed herself in all aspects of the spirits production process, from grain selection through to fermentation, distillation, maturation, blending, and bottling. Caley fell in love with the process of crafting spirits from unique ingredients, and the magic that unfolds during fermentation, distillation, and barrel maturation.

In 2014 โ€“ Caley left Stranahanโ€™s to take the helm at Hangar 1 Distillery, where she oversaw the complete build-out of the new distillery and brand home, then served as the Head Distiller and General Manager until 2020.

At Hangar 1, Caley was responsible for creating unique expressions to showcase a variety of botanicals and distilling techniques. She partnered with farmers, w**emakers, coopers, and scientists from across the country in an effort to create truly special spirits โ€“ like Fog Point, vodka distilled from w**e and cut to bottling proof with water collected from San Francisco fog. Caley is now at home in Santa Fe, and making spirits in this special place is her dream.
