Community Market 2 locations in Sonoma County, California:
Santa Rosa
1899 Mendocino Ave
Sebastopol
6762 Sebastopol Ave We're passionate about food! Every day.

Community Market is Sonoma County's worker-run, Not For Profit natural food store. Since 1975 we've provided our community with wholesome, local, organic foods and ethically sourced products. But we're more than just a store...

We are a family of workers committed to serving our community and building a more sustainable future. We have a comprehensive product policy, driven by our values and ethi

cs. We strive to carry only the highest quality and most nutritious products. Any profits are invested in worker benefits, improvements to our infrastructure, discounts and donations to local community groups and nonprofits, with a focus on our under-served communities. At Community Market, the workers are the leaders (there is no owner!). We elect representatives from our peers to serve on our Red Clover Worker’s Brigade Board of Directors. Involvement, leadership and dedication to our values is our mission. It’s the way we run our store. We invite you to come in and experience the difference our grassroots ethics make. You'll see it in the quality of our products and you'll see it in our friendly service.

Our current Change for Change recipient is Micah's Hugs, we had a chance to sit down with the founder Micah Sawyer and learn more about the organization.

He shares the story of his son Micah, how Micah's Hugs came to be, and the many ways the organization supports our community through harm reduction, education, recovery support, and outreach.

We encourage you to take some time to watch and learn more about the impact they're making throughout Sonoma County.

Donations to Micah's Hugs can be made at the registers in both Community Market locations, and you can learn more about their work on our website.

Did you know? Community Market Sebastopol is home to one of Micah's Hugs' community dispensers, providing free Narcan and fentanyl test strips to anyone who needs them.

Whew. It's hot out there. 🥵

Our AC is on, the drinks are cold, the watermelon is stocked, and the ice cream freezer is ready for business.

Need lunch? We've got prepared foods. Need a cold drink? We've got plenty of those too. And in Sebastopol, The Garden Taproom and Espresso Bar has cold beer, cider, and fermented non-alcoholic beverages on tap.

If you're spending time outside, don't forget the sunscreen. We've got aloe, too, just in case.

Stay cool, everyone. 💧

Don Oscar and his family are part of the community of farmers who grow Café Mam coffee in Chiapas, Mexico.

Through Café Mam's Climate Change Mitigation Fund, they received home lighting and a solar-powered coffee pulper, helping support both their household and their farm.

Café Mam works directly with farmer-owned cooperatives through the Small Producers' Symbol (SPP), the only fair trade certification owned and governed by farmers themselves.

Every cup helps support farming families, strengthen communities, and invest in the future of coffee-growing regions.

We're proud to carry Café Mam Organic Coffee in our Sebastopol store. Select 1 lb. bags are on sale throughout June.
