Although our goats are no big fans of the snow and cold, our big fluffy sheep loves it!
While we were figuring out ways to dig out of almost 2 feet of snow, he was baaaing away happy as could be!
Nature has given him the ultimate wool coat :)

It is snowing again today. For some reason two of our goldens have been mesmerized for over 20 minutes watching the snowflakes fall. Have a happy Saturday everyone! 💜

Hot pretzels came out YUMMY! It was the perfect warm snack to have before heading out into the blowing snow, to feed the farm animals their supper. I think I will bring one out to our horse, she will L💜VE it!

It's freezing out there! In preparation for blizzard conditions this evening, we were up and outside early. All the animals have thick layers of bedding, buckets filled with warm water, and extra feed for warming calories. They all look happy and content.
We are now inside for some family time. We are going to try and make homemade hot pretzels. Wish us luck! 💜

Our sweetest, kindest, most lovable goat passed away today. We were heartbroken. It felt like one last kick from a very difficult 2013.
I sat and thought long and hard trying to think of some possible way to look at it and not have it seem so completely sad and negative. Then I realized it!
We have had Dolly since the very first bar of soap we've ever made. Every bar of soap that has ever been used, every bar in stock, and every bar to be made over the next couple of months will all have some milk from the sweetest goat that ever lived. In her own little way Dolly has touched many people through taking wonderful care of their skin, and will continue too for a while.
Unlike goats on commercial farms, Dolly left the world with kisses and hugs from everyone, and as much warm molasses as she could lick.
Rest in peace old girl. You will never be forgotten! Xoxo
