We officially have a functional sleeper on our truck!!!!

This is so exciting!

When we bought this truck, Les was only looking for day cabs, but after grinding hay long distances the last couple of years, the hotel costs were adding up quickly!

He paid $500 for this green sleeper. I told him to mount it and he could bring ‘Christmas cheer’ all year long down the road. That was a HARD NO! 🫢🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

The interior was disgusting! Oil had spilled on the floor, the mattress went straight to the dump!, the walls were covered in something that happened from years of running around the oilfield and then who knows how many years of sitting outside. 😵‍💫

He worked a LOT of hours to get this project done and I am soooo proud of the amazing job that he did.

The last step is to mount the antique eagle on the hood, that came off of an old Kenworth ‘Silver Eagle’ truck. 🦅

The sleeper is mounted!!!

The paint isn’t a perfect match, but I once we get the stacks back on, I bet we won’t even notice the slight difference!

A HUGE thank you to my father-in-law for coming to help Les get this project done! I guarantee he was much better help than I would’ve been! 🤣

I just came across….

• 9 visible peafowl sitting on the grinder
• 1 peahen hiding on the other side
• 1 mama peahen with 4 peachicks

All just hanging out on it around the grinder! 🤣
