Thank you Horse & Hound Photography!!! I was so nervous to have my picture taken. I have always hated it. But with social media at our fingertips and our first source when looking for a small business it is SO important to represent yourself well. And beautiful pictures is absolutely the right start. I’m thankful that my friends at Horse & Hound made the process fun and helped me feel relaxed. The results speak for themselves ☺️

When seeking out a riding instructor what are some qualities you value? Someone patient? Someone kind to both their horse & human clients? Someone who communicates effectively? Someone who values long term goals and progression of their students? Someone who is ethical and transparent about their work? Those are all top values we hear time and time again from riders looking for the perfect match in a trainer/instructor.

We have personally known Caley Nonnemaker of Nonnemaker Sporthorses for many years now and she fits every quality as described above. Her students and horses' progression are a priority in her own work. Over the years of learning from her- We can say one of the greatest appeals is her upbeat attitude and vibe of "Don't let that rattle you- go back to doing something your horse is good at and keep it positive." Nothing is ever rushed, progression was always made through gradual steps- but in the long run you will have a horse worth bragging about! The only drawback to Caley is that she isn't right down the road from us anymore :P

It has been almost two months since we moved to Golden View Farm. We couldn’t be happier! Our horses are going better than ever. Becky and Brooke have done an amazing job getting all 9 horses settled and I am feeling very blessed to get to focus on training.

We moved!!!
It’s official. Nonnemaker Sporthorses has joined forces with Golden View Farm. We are so excited and so grateful that the wonderful people at Golden View have opened their doors to us. Becky Allen (owner) is a close friend of mine and for years we have dreamt of putting our strengths together. Her facility has so much to offer. A big bright indoor, a separate indoor round pen, a huge lounge and viewing room, bathroom, laundry room, trails to hack out and so much more. The barn manager Brooke Snyder is an incredible hard worker who has been working overtime to make sure that our horses settle and feel at home. The Golden View boarders have been such a pleasure to meet and everyone is so welcoming and accommodating as we learn our way around. I am beyond excited for our future! Stay tuned for pictures 😊

And a HUGE thank you to my incredible boarders and students. It was scary at first to decide to leave Scirocco farm after nearly a decade of calling it home. I’m not sure how I got so lucky to have such a loyal group. I could not have survived this summer (or the last ten years) with out all of your help. I look forward to being able to focus more on my improvement as a rider, trainer, and teacher. Thank you for taking this big step forward with me 💙

We wrapped up the outdoor show season today! I’m so impressed with everyone’s progress and hard work. These two made the switch this year from Show Jumping to Hunters. Everyone learned so much and we just love trying new things. The last few horse shows were so rewarding and actually FUN 💙 Of course getting some neck ribbons is ALWAYS FUN 😂

Hello! I was admiring our beautiful footing when I realized I never posted the finished product:) the pretty new footing made the dark months of the winter feel brighter! And we didn’t just survive we thrived.

We had a blast at Bucks County horse show. Two riders, two white horses, two gallons of blue shampoo and a lot of smiles. I am impressed with the improvements the horse park has made over the years while still creating the welcoming environment for my young riders to develop showing skills and confidence.

The last few weeks have been so successful for our team.. Horse shows have been smooth and fun and coming home with ribbons is always a plus!! Just this week we have had a few blues and a couple reserves but most of all the horses and riders are all progressing so much I can't wait to move them up. I also couldn't be more proud of my young riders that leave the ring aware of mistakes, appreciative of the horse, and happy with progress even before the placing.

So I am currently cold and wet and was scrolling through old photos and I wanted to share again this picture of Wyatt. Although he is a bit of a local hero for those of you who don't know Wyatt he is an amazing lesson horse who has helped countless riders develop confidence, strength, and most importantly sensitivity. He is not a typical lesson horse as he has remained perfectly responsive over the years and from rider to rider he always gives his ALL. Everyone who sits on him loves him.. He is never lazy, cranky, or mean. And the best part is he's 33!
I have been so lucky to have him in my barn to remind me how giving horses can be and what amazing animals they truly are. I have no idea what he was like as a young horse but when he came to us he was clearly misunderstood. With only a little work he quickly knew his job and still continues to do it! He doesn't work hard physically any more although he is still sound but he has recently told me he's not done yet! And he will teach yet another rider how to be better for the next horse. I believe that's his mission! So cheers to Wyatt! May you continue to make my heart skip a beat💖

After two days of "day" shows we are all tired! And for the moment these are the best pictures I have. We were too busy to strike a pose but here is the sun setting on Nonnemaker Sporthorses beautiful chariet.. A random companion pony that I loved at the Ridge today... and Remy with Beau on the trailer with shiny black butts! We had so much success all 7 riders rocked!

A long long day today at Radnor hunt for the Pont Club reminds me what dedication this sport requires. We all woke up at 3:30 but the 14 kids I helped had such great attitudes and energy it was a treat to help and see so much talent!

This was yesterday. For some reason when my horses are laying down I feel accomplished. Either they're good and tired from work... Or just comfortable and relaxed enough to take an afternoon nap. But I like it either way:)

Winter riding at its best! Even the most solid horse is like riding a time bomb when you have large chunks of snow waiting to fall off the roof and sounding like the building is collapsing!

Snow removal at the farm just got a lot more fun! This over sized snow blower shoots the snow 20 feet up in the air and I don't know how far. But it's cool.

Here is another pic of Leda. I'm so glad This pair got to end the show year with a big pretty champion ribbon they deserve. We've come so far and these two are a perfect example of what hard work and lessons do for your riding.
