Our first foal of the year arrived at 5 am on March 30th, a beautiful blue-eyed buckskin pinto filly! Her sire is Magic Mans Top Ticket, a 28" direct son of the famous Magic Man. (Ticket is currently standing at stud at Desert Mirage Miniatures in Gilbert, AZ.) A 7" cannon bone puts her at 30" at maturity. She's already full of herself and very friendly. She will be A/R registered and will be available in August when weaned. (And a big thank you to our dear friends Ed Rieth and Leslie Rieth for their help!)

Our beloved Shasta went to her retirement home today. No more being pestered by our stallion, no more difficult births, no more being picked on by our bossier mares. I turned down 5 potential buyers who wanted her, until the right ones came along. Kami and Tom Kszepka have the perfect non-breeding situation for her: her own stall with outdoor pen, daily limited pasture time with grass (grass!), a couple other mini friends, and lots of love and attention. We are sad to see her go but very happy for Shasta!
