Hedgehog BBQ rubs aren’t just for BBQ. They’re good on almost anything—although I have yet to try them on ice cream... yet.
I went fishing with a friend yesterday and brought home a nice salmon, so for dinner I cooked it up with some asparagus and wild rice.
The asparagus was seasoned with Hedgehog BBQ Desert Sand and fresh lemon. The salmon was cooked on a bed of lemon and seasoned with our own Hedgehog BBQ Lemon Garlic rub.
Fresh-caught salmon and a simple fresh dinner. Hard to beat!

Are you a fellow BBQ enthusiast who's obsessed with collecting classic BBQ cookbooks? I'm curious to know, do you have a treasured collection of vintage BBQ books that you just can't get enough of? My oldest and most prized book is the Sunset BBQ Book, which was first published in 1938 and re-released in 1945. It's considered the first published book about BBQ, can you believe it? I mean, it's amazing to think about how far BBQ has come since then! What's your oldest BBQ book, and what's the story behind it? Do you have a favorite recipe or technique that you've learned from it? Share with me in the comments below!
