Meet Boone’s Farm, cheap, questionable, and somehow still a good time. 🍷
2 year old APHA c**t "Boone" is living proof you don’t need money to make bad decisions, because apparently owning five c**ts wasn’t enough, I brought this one home as I felt sorry for him. He was about 250 lbs underweight and a little on the feral side, but since he’s sired by Cam (Reserve World Champion, 5x Bronze World Champion, 9x National Champion, etc.) and out of a mare I used to own, I traded a trailer for him.
He’s since gained roughly 300 lbs, shot up several inches (currently 15h, may top out around 15.3–16 hands), and has caught up on nearly everything an unstarted c**t should know.
✅ Leads and ties (including cross-ties)
✅ Self-loads and backs out of the trailer
✅ Easy to catch, usually meets you at the gate
✅ Good for the farrier, may step away at first but settles fast
✅ Saddled, bridled, and ground-driven about a dozen times (not yet backed)
✅ Current coggins, dewormed, wolf teeth pulled
He’s scheduled to be gelded (and possibly branded) on Oct 29th, as my vet prefers to follow the almanac.
Boone’s a smart, sensible c**t who could go in any direction. He does have a scar on his left eye that he had when he arrived but it doesn't effect his vision. His full sister is currently doing the 3 day eventing thing and killing it. 🔥
He’s priced accordingly, so if your budget is more Boone’s Farm than Napa Valley, this might just be the project you’re looking for. 🍷🐴
