We’re humbled to hear testimonials like this about our work, and are deeply grateful for the trust people extend to us. We don’t promise these type of transformative processes during Embodied Action Lab, but we do commit to creating conditions for deep reflection, expansive visioning, and reconnecting to your inner authority. Sounding juicy to you? Sign up for the summer session by this Friday. Link in bio.

There’s one more week to register for the summer session of Embodied Action Lab. One of my favorite moments of Embodied Action Lab in the fall 2021 session was when we created a collective vision. It was an acknowledgment that we are interdependent, that your change is my change is systemic change. We placed our individuals dreams and longings within the bowl of community nourishment so we all can heal and be liberated from the different and similar shackles that try to bind us. These are only a few glimpses into the collective vision that emerged from the group being together in space with radical imagination and embodies curiosity. Share what inspires you, and add your visions to the mix.

Registration is at the link in bio. Hope to gather with you in June.

Moji Igun and Emily met at a Circular PNW event several years ago. It was one of those connections that creates an instant buzz of excited energy in your body. Since then, We Become and have collaborated many times on amplifying the interconnections between how we heal and care for ourselves, each other, and the planet. We’re so excited to join her latest offering: Road to Zero Waste. Emily is offering some tools to help folks explore the connection between your mind and body so you can channel your climate concerns into intentional action.

‪👋 Your body at work—what's that like?‬
‪How do you feel when you're working? Can you hear your body's cues? Do you have time to listen? ‬Do you ask for consent?

‪👆These are some questions we're asking this Friday 2/11 in our lunchtime Sandbox Session at 12pm. We'll share a somatic design framework to explore how the body is part of our work ecosystem, and we'll co-create strategies to welcome the body and center its voice and needs. ‬

‪🌍 Why are we doing this? ‬
‪We Become believes that reconnecting to and respecting our bodies is part of a process to decolonize ways of working and disrupt a hierarchy of mind over body that's led systems of harm to people and our planet.‬

We've loved having pop-up sessions with our friends to try out new creative facilitation techniques. They've been so helpful to get feedback and refine our approach, and to simply have fun and connect with great people. We always walk away with lessons, ideas, and full hearts. We keep hearing from folks that they want more of these opportunities, and we do too! So we're trying out a monthly series during peak winter months to bring some playfulness to the dark side of the year. Join us in these *free* sandbox sessions and let's see what we can create together! Expect embodied/somatic practice, high participation, creative expression, and lots of joy! Register early — we only have 15 spots per session — at: https://bit.ly/3E2Lkry

New blog post! Q U E E R I N G Business Relationships

The consultant-client relationship can be transactional, impersonal, and decontextualized. When these relationships are reduced to a payment for service, we lose the container of a collaborative partnership that is precisely what’s needed for the project to truly flourish into what it wants to become.

At We Become, the work we’re doing isn’t a ‘go and do it’ situation. It’s a ‘let’s dig into this together’ process.

What is gained by breaking out of the conventional consultant-client pattern is authenticity and mutuality. It is the opportunity to be vulnerable and get deeper to the root of challenges than what’s possible otherwise. We gain an abundance of space where everyone gets to have their boundaries respected and needs met, rather than neglected and devalued. We get to be our whole selves in the work together, build a sense of togetherness, and even open up pathways for healing the wounds from those old patterns.
