I had these in Europe and was dying to make them at home. The custard is very delicious and quite easy to prepare. I think I will attempt to use another type of pastry that has a bit more of a delicate and flakier texture like of the one's I experienced in Europe.
The eternal problem is making them crispy and beautifully browned in the home kitchen oven. Almost every recipe I’ve tried warns you upfront that your tarts may not (read will not) brown as much as on the pictures they attach. Hmmmm... There’s got to be a way. After many trials I can say yes, you can get them to brown and look like real authentic Portuguese custard tarts.
Nonetheless, these custard tarts were yummy and I will make them again and again. Especially for today with the cold rainy day, nothing better than having a piece of warm creamy custard tart , not to mentioned the smell of warm buttery crust just filled up the entire house. Obrigado

2017年不好不壞的晃了過去，2018也就這樣趁機糊裡糊塗的塞了進來，我們都不知道在每個看似微不足道日子裡，能帶給我們怎樣的驚喜，努力的做下去不管好壞與先後，至少我們都在往前的路上邁進
