The California cherries are rolling in at the farmers markets and I grabbed 3 bags this weekend. 🤭 you cannot convince me that it gets much better in life than a fresh ripe cherry or peach. I simply cannot buy them at the grocery store anymore. It’s not the same.

Rob also got me the most unique arrangement for Mothers Day! I usually do some small Mothers Day arrangements for a few friends, but it totally snuck up on me this year.

It’s hard to buy flowers for the woman that grows flowers, but Rob always does such a great job. 🥹❤️

Yesterday morning my daughter thought she would pick the “pretty lilac flowers” that haven’t bloomed yet. 🤦🏼‍♀️ she came in the house with a basket full of lilac buds. I told her they needed to be left on the plant to bloom, and she said “they can bloom in my basket.” 😂

Slightly devastated as they are one of my favorite flowers, but also reminded how humbling parenthood is. 🥴

Here’s some pretty lilacs from last year in case I don’t get any! (There are some still at the very top of the bush, so fingers crossed!)

These spring rains are giving the farm so much life! We’ve had light showers 4-5 time a week the last week or two, and our latel spring batch of flowers is finally putting on a ton of growth.

I’m hopeful the flower stand will be open weekly starting early June! 🙌🏼

We’ll let our email friends know first as soon as we’ve got a confirmed date, so if you haven’t been added to our list yet -

Message me your email address and I’ll get you added! 🌸

To the mommas we know, love, & serve ✨ -

I hope you feel extra loved, celebrated, and cared for today.

Motherhood is the most extreme adventure I’ve ever entered in to. A life of constant service, a laying down of yourself for the sake of another.
It’s the most intense love I think anyone can feel in this life.

Someone told me lately - “with great blessing comes great responsibility.” And I think this sums up motherhood pretty perfectly.

This adventure has brought me the greatest honor, the biggest blessing, and the deepest joy I’ll ever know. I’d do it all again, no questions asked for the beauty of knowing my children.

Happy Mothers Day Mommas. ❤️

✨ PS - I hope someone today buys you incredible flowers! 💐

One thing I’ve learned farming on a small scale is it’s not all roses & sunshine.

Sometimes you kill seedlings. Sometimes you overwater & cause fungus. Sometimes you injure yourself moving soil & have to take a week off.

For a long time I wondered if it would all be worth it. Building a 3,600 sqft garden from scratch by myself with a baby & now toddler, learning about 867 different flower varieties, marketing our sweet little flower stand…

But here we are, 3 years later. And I can say with absolute certainty it’s all been worth it. Watching my daughter fall in love with the garden, watching our community fall in love with flowers… there is no greater joy. ✨

Thanks for supporting us. We are so grateful! I’d do it all again for the honor of providing little bouquets of joy to every one of you. ❤️

We’ve been busy this spring working on soil health projects, getting irrigation in tip top shape, & planting perennials. I just realized I haven’t been very active with our Facebook community!

The biggest, most fun thing happening on the farm in the next few weeks will be our ranunculus blooming! Here’s some pictures from last year. I cannot wait to have a tunnel full of these incredible blooms in the next few weeks.

Be on the lookout for details about our farm stand opening in the next few weeks!

Spring is the time of year we like to tackle all the winter projects we’ve been dreaming up over the last few months.

This weekend we built our toddler a fairy play house out of scrub oak branches & a mud kitchen!

The next job is a sand table, but I’ve got to pivot back to soil prep for a few weeks first. Our ranunculus went in the ground last week, & I’ll start hardening off our spring flower babies next week!

Excited for all the summer fun to come for our toddler, & for all the pretty flowers right around the corner.

Hi flower friends! We took a winter hiatus from Facebook to rest & hibernate. As the weather slowly warms (looking at you, 50+ degree days ahead!) we’re getting ready for a beautiful spring season. Right now we’re:

-starting seeds
-preparing soil for planting
-waking up ranunculus corns
-checking our dahlia tuber inventory

So much of what we do is behind the scenes work to make so many beautiful flowers happen.
