📣 Mallard’s Catering Co. is looking for a part-time Catering Lead/Assistant!

Business is growing, and I’m looking for the right person I can count on during our busier months — typically 1–2 catering events per month, primarily on Fridays and Saturdays.

Most events would involve working alongside me with setup, service and breakdown. However, I’m specifically looking for someone I can eventually trust to take the lead and run an event without me when needed.

What I’m looking for:
• Reliable, punctual and responsible — this is the big one
• Professional, presentable and great with people
• Comfortable taking charge and representing Mallard’s Catering Co.
• Mainly Friday/Saturday availability
• Able and comfortable pulling/backing an enclosed trailer when necessary
• Someone who can follow a plan, solve problems and keep things moving without needing constant direction

This is not a set weekly schedule. Catering dates can be sporadic, but events are generally booked weeks to several months in advance, so you’ll normally have plenty of notice.

Most events won’t require pulling the trailer, but I occasionally have dates when I’m unavailable or out of town, and I need someone I can trust to handle the job from start to finish.

I’m not looking for just another set of hands. I’m looking for someone dependable who wants a flexible side gig, enjoys working with people, and can become someone I trust to represent Mallard’s when I can’t personally be there.

Congratulations, Hannah & Kevin! 🥂🤍

This one was a little extra special for us. Hannah is a fellow wedding vendor with her mobile bar, so we’ve had the opportunity to work alongside her at other events — this time, we got to be one of the vendors for her wedding!

And they definitely kept us busy. 😂

🔥 Rehearsal Dinner — Mallard’s BBQ
🇮🇹 Wedding Reception — our very FIRST Italian catering!

One of our favorite parts of the night was hearing how many guests saw Mallard’s setting up and immediately thought, “Oh, we’re having BBQ!” — only to find out we had an entirely different menu waiting for them.

Homemade lasagna, chicken Alfredo, salads, roasted carrots, garlic bread… and judging by the empty pans and the rave reviews we heard all evening, we’d say our first trip into the Italian lane was a success. Some are even calling me the Italian Stallion Cowboy 🤣

BBQ will always be where Mallard’s started, but Mallard’s Catering Co. was created to be so much more than BBQ. Italian, Cajun, homestyle, taco bars, appetizers and more — all with the same scratch-made approach and attention to detail we’ve built our name on.

Thank you, Hannah & Kevin, for trusting us with not one, but TWO meals during such an important weekend. Congratulations to you both! ❤️

We had the honor of Catering Kelley and Bart's wedding yesterday on their property down in Conway, MO.

We're here for all of your catering needs!

Yesterday's wedding took us about two hours down the road to Conway, Missouri, where we had the honor of catering Kelley & Bart's beautiful wedding at their beautiful home.

Let's just say Missouri reminded everyone it's July. 🥵 Between the heat and an outdoor setup, it was one of those days that made you appreciate a little shade and a breeze (there was none)—but seeing everyone enjoying the food made every bit of it worthwhile.

One thing that became clear and was shared with me multiple times really meant a lot. Before choosing us, they tasted food from a long list of caterers. Knowing they ultimately trusted Mallard's Catering Co. to be part of such an important day is something we don't take lightly.

Kelley & Bart, thank you for letting us celebrate with you and your families. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness together!
