To our valued customers,

Due to increasing costs of utilities, treatment chemicals, and ongoing facilities maintenance and repair/replacement, PWWSD #20 Board of Directors is forced to increase the cost of water from $6.00 to $8.00 per 1,000 gallons.

In May of 2025, PWWSD #20 increased the price from the original $5.00 per 1,000 gallons to $6.00 per thousand gallons. To keep bills low last year, we implemented a minimal $1.00 per 1,000 gallon increase, with the expectation that a Kansas Water Office grant would cover our facility improvements. Because we did not secure a grant, these funds must now be generated locally to ensure critical infrastructure updates can proceed.PWWSD #20 is re-applying for the same grant for 2027. Effective September 25, 2026, meter readings, for bills due October 25, 2026, water rates will increase to $8.00 per thousand gallons.

We thank you for your understanding in this difficult decision.

Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs), often called "annual water quality reports," are documents that community water systems must distribute to customers every year. They provide a snapshot of where your drinking water comes from, what it contains, and how it measures up to federal safety standards. Why are they important?

Public Health & Safety: They ensure consumers are aware of any detected contaminants in their water supply. This is especially crucial for vulnerable populations (e.g., infants, the elderly, or those with compromised immune systems).
Regulatory Compliance: Mandated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Safe Drinking Water A
