So put in a metal auto feeder for the pigs after a few weeks they decided the doors were a pain so they ripped them off.

We managed to hay after all got some decent stuff, wasn't as blasted as we though. Good thing to hay is already stupid pricey.

well no hay off our field this year the heat has blasted it into crap.

Well looks like nect year is poultry restock year. Down to 3 ducks maybe 8 chickens, half boys. Upside our last girl duck is currently sitting on eggs.

Ok so for some reason one of our male Turkeys felt the need to prove how tough he was by harassing Fiona. Found in the duck coop this evening dead, I suspect Fiona gave him a wack for his efforts. Think he died of internal injuries.
Sorry he died like that, but he was an aggressive ass most of the time so won't be missed.

Part of the daily routine here has become having to whack at least one of our tom torkeys at feeding time with a bucket. They have both gotten borderline aggressive. So soon one will become a dinner guest hopefully that will persuade the older one to knock it off.

something has been getting teh ducks we are down 8-9 in the last month. No sure if it is an eagle or the local bobcat or even coyotes,of course could all 3 taking a few.
