Why do I always fall in love with books years after everyone else? 😂

That’s exactly what happened with Fourth Wing, and it reminded me SO much of when I finally read Harry Potter for the first time.

Both times, everyone around me was already obsessed and I just didn’t get the hype yet. Then one day I finally picked them up and suddenly I was completely emotionally attached to fictional characters, ignoring responsibilities, and thinking about the story 24/7.

There’s just something magical about finding a book world that completely pulls you in. The dragons, the romance, the tension, the friendships… it gave me that same cozy, exciting feeling I remember getting with Harry Potter back in 2001.

These Fourth Wing-inspired pens were so fun to make, and they feel like the perfect little accessory for annotating, journaling, or pretending we live at Basgiath instead of paying bills 😂

Late to the fandom once again… but fully obsessed now! I can not wait for the new series produced by Michael B. Jordan!! 🙌🏽

A lot of time and money this past summer was spent hunting and purchasing Labubus (Lafufus) in Mexico! Jonas and I were even hoping for a really ugly one, like a baldy or one with an upside down face but they all turned out really cute. Are you or your kids also obsessed? 🤩

In the background is my late grandfather’s work truck. He came to this country through the Bracero Program, hands calloused from labor, heart full of dreams. He worked the fields, raised goats, and planted crops on his own land. Not just to survive, but to make sure his family would thrive. He built something from nothing, not just with sweat, but with vision.

He didn’t just dream for himself. He dreamed for all of us, for the next generation to have choices, dignity, and pride.

I carry that with me every day. I’m proud to be Mexican, proud of where I come from, and I’ll never stay quiet about the systems that dehumanize and divide. This is for my Papapapis. For everything he built, everything he endured, and everything he passed down.

This keychain is just a small piece of resistance. But it carries a legacy.
