🌙✨ Get to Know the Maker – Just a Lil Magic ✨🌙

Hi friends! I figured it was time to properly introduce myself to all the amazing people supporting my little dream.

My name is Denise, and I’m the heart and hands behind Just a Lil Magic. I am proud to be a small Black-owned business owner and a Veteran, and creativity has always been one of my favorite ways to connect with people and bring comfort, joy, and a little magic into everyday life.

I create handcrafted candles and gift items inspired by cozy bakery treats, self-care moments, nostalgia, and a touch of whimsy. Every candle is poured in small batches with intention, creativity, and honestly… a whole lot of excitement because I still get giddy watching them come to life.

Outside of candle making, I’m a plant lover, a crafter, a snack maker, and someone who truly believes handmade gifts carry a special kind of love you just can’t buy off a shelf. My goal is to create pieces that make people smile, relax, feel comforted, or spark a happy memory.

Today’s pour is a rich red velvet moment, deep cocoa notes blending with just a hint of cake sweetness. Testing, layering, and letting intuition lead the way — because some of the best candles are born right here at the work table.
