Breeding update Pandemonium came back in yesterday 😪 after 8/25 breeding to DKGH Crown Envy. When I was excited that it took, I mentioned about many a slip between cup and lip.I just wish it hadn't been this one.

The next time you want to get away from it all consider it. There is truly something great about getting out in His creation and seeing places only those how go (or hike in this case) get to see.

I out to take pictures of some of my '26 kids only to look at the pictures and realize they are really not babies anymore. Which engenders mixed emotions.😔🙂
Here are a few of them.

He may be frustrated, but it is good news that his blubbering is not getting responses from these young girls. Time to start the kidding schedule.
11 month old Redwood Hills Nothing Ventured and the other boys have done their jobs. He is just still hoping for more to do.

Reminder(wait for it) to check things before winter/kidding season. Even if it was working perfectly the last time you used it.

I blew it out, turned it on, and set the temperature high to see it light, run, and shut off. I definitely was not expecting that.

Breeding season began with AI. While there is a long way to go I am thrilled to be past 35 days on a few.
First is an exciting breeding of Pandemonium (Triple Share Perf. Pandemonium), and
DKGH Crown Envy.
It is unusual for me in that it's not very tight, but I've loved everything she's given me and look forward to seeing kids from this cross.

When I go backpacking viewing His creation is such a blessing. This morning, seeing this blessing from Him was so great. After more than a year: RUE IS IN HEAT!!!!!
It is still going to take a miracle for her to actually conceive, but this is very exciting!
I used one of my buck kids not wanting to take any chances of her being harmed since he doesn't weigh much.
The short version for those who don't know the backstory is that Rue (a powered doe and the best) has mummified remains/bones in her left side. It has caused problems for more than a year, and the university said she would probably never conceive and likely not even cycle. That it would take exploratory surgery and several thousand dollars I don't have to maybe get eggs to try for transfer.
All I can do now is wait and see if the Lord is doubly gracious and she actually conceives.

Yearlings continued. The Puma daughters
I'm looking forward to seeing the udders considering the background ( dam and sires dam had the best and reserve best udder at Nationals, and in fourteen generations, there's only one with a v on an udder and less than a ninety) even though some of them are in a bit of an awkward stage, yearlings you know.
Besides , several of these are a full brother on granddaughters. (Boon granddaughters to Puma his full brother)
Puma semen is available in limited quantity.
