We’ve been a little MIA around here lately 🤎🌾

Life has been busy over here and while we haven’t been posting much, there’s still been plenty happening! We’ve been soaking up the slower moments, working on a few things behind the scenes, and just enjoying this season we’re in.

Our very first Motherhood Morning is officially in the books, and our hearts are SO full. 🥹

Thank you to every mama who showed up, brought her little ones, painted, played, and helped make this morning feel so special.

The whole heart behind Motherhood Mornings is to create a little space where moms can come as they are, meet other moms, let the kids be kids, and feel a little less alone in this beautiful, messy season of motherhood. And after this first gathering, we can already tell this is something special. 🤍

Thank you for trusting us with your morning and for helping us begin this little community. We hope you left feeling encouraged, connected, and maybe with a new mama friend. 🫶🏼

Here’s to many more slow mornings, messy crafts, happy kids, meaningful conversations, and friendships made along the way.

Our annual dove hunt is always one of our favorite days! 🕊️🌾🫶🏼

Good friends, good food, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of memories made. This year was extra special because our friends all the way from Arkansas came down to join us.

Last night, we had to say goodbye to our boy. We took Smoky to the vet yesterday because we knew something wasn’t right. They gave us antibiotics and other medications to bring home, and we were hoping and praying that he would pull through.

Sadly, he passed away last night.

We did everything we could for him and we are absolutely heartbroken that he didn’t make it. He was just a baby, and having to say goodbye so soon hurts more than I can put into words.

This is the part of farm life that nobody really talks about. As much as we love, care for, and fight for these animals, sometimes things are simply out of our hands. That doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. 🤍

Smoky may not have been with us for very long, but he was so loved. We fought for him, cared for him, and stayed by his side until the end.

You will always be a part of our little farm, and you will never be forgotten. 🫶🏼🤍

Plot twist of the year: WE HAVE A HERMAPHRODITE CAT. 😂🐱

We took Oreo to the vet yesterday to get neutered.. and to our surprise they told us at pickup that he has both down there. 🤪

So instead of getting neutered, my boy got spayed!

Apparently we have ourselves a rare little intersex cat and honestly, that’s pretty cool.

Introducing Motherhood Mornings at Silo Field & Farm! 🥹

A simple, laid-back morning where moms can bring their little ones, let the kids play, do a few fun activities, and just connect with other local moms. No strict schedule. No pressure. Just motherhood, community, and a little farm time.

Our first morning is planned for September 26th! 🗓️

We’ll have things like a corn sensory pit, coloring + stickers, rock painting to take home, toys for the kids to play with, and plenty of space to just hang out.

I’m trying to get an idea of interest before I officially open it up… so please comment below!
