Back at the airport after an in and out contest to the Paola Roots Festival Wes and his team did a great job putting this on.

Was not happy with this cook at all, but the best meat was put in the box and everything got turned in. I was expecting to sit on my hands the entire awards. But flying those Sweet Meat Butcher Shop meats is always good luck! We won every table except brisket, second on the table.

16th - Abattiranch Wagyu - Brisset

We were lucky enough to hear our names called 3 times for a 4th overall finish out of 31 teams! Congrats to Wood Hook BBQ on the GC and Go Pig Or Go Home on RGC!

The Great Lenexa BBQ has passed after an extremely wet and hot contest everything ended well. We teamed up with sugarnspicebbq to cook the auxiliaries for us, and they were all great despite getting told hours before turn ins that you have to change your plans.

As for for the 4 main meats we closed the lids on what we expected to be 4 solid turn ins. Fortunately the judges agreed.

19th - Chicken Springer Mountain Farms
11th - Ribs Prairie Fresh
2nd - Pork Prairie Fresh 🐽
71st - Brisket…won the table

All good for 10th overall out of 161 teams which feels like a huge accomplishment! Congrats to Brad with Gettin' Basted on GC and dr.squealgoodbbq on RGC. And to everyone else who heard their names called.

None of this could have been completed without the people below.

After the long drive to Kansas City, we are wrapped up with competing at the Smoke Off "4-Life" BBQ Competition. Great to cook out of the Florida Rig in Kansas and see everyone here.

The results were as followed

9th - Springer Mountain Farms Chicken 🐔
15th - Prairie Fresh Ribs (1st on table)
7th - Pork ’s pro pork tips
24th - Brisket

Good for a 14th overall. Next week off to the Great Lenexa Barbeque Battle against 160 teams. I am really missing trash talking Tillmans BBQ all weekend!
