Yesterday was an exciting and busy day. We ended up with two more ewe lambs being born. One early morning and one late night night. Lambing season will have you up all hours of the day and night for sure.

Both were born unassisted and everyone is doing well. We hope to wrap up the May group soon and focus on getting these lambs to where they need to be.

There must be an unwritten rule that you can only have ewes during May. I'm not complaining just glad everyone is healthy.

I hate to put out the side note, but please don't message us asking if these are for sale. These are newborn lambs, and we do not sell bottle lambs. We have never sold bottle lambs and never will.
I personally think it's very unethical to pull lambs from their mothers that young, and it's also not healthy for the moms.

Good news all births have been unassisted on pasture and everyone is doing good.

On a side note , this lamb is not for sale. She was just born this morning. We do not sell bottle babies .

We will put out advance notice before we start listing sheep for sale.

Don't forget to check us out @ Cottage Learning . My wife , Dr. Victoria Paxton, will be offering some amazing classes starting this fall. The classes will be held at the learning center on our farm.

She will even be offering some sheep classes. The classes are for children ages 6 to 14 years.

Good morning everyone !!!

The May girls are in full swing , we had another early morning birth today !!!! We had another first time mom drop a ewe lamb on pasture unassisted.

Everyone is doing fantastic and they were moved to the lambing barn and placed in a jug.

We will keep observation on them in the jug for a 24 to 48 hour period to make sure all is well.

Well, one of the new mommies from the May group decided to kick things of with her first lamb , another ewe !!!!

She is doing what we like to see out here. She dropped out on pasture without assistance and everyone is doing good !!!!

It's on now for the rest of the May mommies to bring those new lambs into the world.

Also some of the first lamb group eating at the kiddie table this morning !!!!!
