Late evening sheep check and I was able to get a couple shots of this guy. He was born with a twin sister. They were the last born so far this year. He is not three months old yet .

Can't wait until November to see Abraham's first lambs be born !

The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service confirmed classical scrapie in a sheep slaughtered at a facility in Oregon on July 31. This is the first case of scrapie found in the U.S. in more than five years.

Scrapie is a fatal, degenerative disease that affects the central nervous system of sheep and goats.

The U.S. was on the way to eradicating the disease by 2028, if it could make it 7 years without a new case, but this confirmed detection could reset the timeline. Read more about the case at the link in the comments.

Been working all day on the cottage , finally getting everyone rotated to some fresh grass late this evening.

Thank the Lord we have finally been getting some rain in NC. The grass is finally growing again !!!!
